NCC  GROUP  HQ

       GUNTUR

        This unit was first raised as 7(A) EME Unit NCC as one Coy at Wanaparty on 01 Jul 1964 and was affiliated to the local Government polytechnic. During the re-organization carried out in july 1965, the Unit was shifted to Nellore and was allocated Govt. Polytechnic, Nellore & Guntur. This Unit was transferred from NCC Group HQ, Tirupati to NCC Group HQrs, Guntur on 03 May 1977. This Unit was re-designated as 2(A) EME Unit NCC with effect from 04 feb 1978. This Unit was transferred and put under command NCC Group HQrs., Tirupati w.e.f 01 Apr 2003. The Unit was again transferred and put under command NCC Group HQrs., Guntur  w.e.f 01 Sep 2010.

        Presently, the unit is commanded by Col DS Godara
